Maya Mikhaylovna Plisetskaya (1925-2015) was a Russian ballet dancer, choreographer, ballet director, and actress/ She danced from 1943-1990 at the Bolshoi Ballet, In 1960 she took over Galina Ulanova's title as prima ballerina assoluta of the Bolshoi Ballet.
