Oleg Zotov studied at the Moscow State Art Institute named after Surikov from 1947-1953, where he was taught by B.A. Dekhterev and M.M. Cheremnykh, his degree work being illustrations and book design of S. Marshak 's “Mister Twister”.
As an illustrator and book artist O. Zotov collaborated with “The Detskaya Literatura”, “The Malysh” publishing houses, etc. He contributed to “The Pioner” magazine as a graphic artist.
Oleg Zotov also worked for the satirical journal "Krokodil".
