Tea Drinking in Russia
Drinking tea is an old tradition in Russia, and it continued through the Soviet Union era, and even today the tradition of a cup of tea continues, be it in the kitchen, or in the dacha around the samovar.
This exhibition shows Tea Drinking depicted in the fine arts in the 1930s-1970s, by the artists Galina Ivanov, Masabikh Ahkunov, Tatyana Kovrigina, Natalia Gippius, Evgenii Gavrilkevich, Boris Dyatlov, Galina Dmitrieva and Konstantin Gneushev.
As Douglas Adams might have put it, had he ever been to Russia: "The Long Light Tea-Time of the Soul".
