The Bolshoi Theatre
The Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow was always a favourite theme of the artist of the Soviet period. Some artists were affiliated with the theatre, drawing costumes, set designs or posters, and other artists painted the theatre or the people surrounding it when taking time off from their state commissions.
In this exhibition we show works by artists Natalia Gippius, Boris Uspensky, Marina Uspenskaya, Oleg Savostyuk, Masabikh Akhunov, Boris Rybchenkov, Sergei Nikiforov, and Mikhail Rojter
