Grigorashenko, Leonid (1915-1995)

Leonid Pavlovich Grigorashenko was active in Moldova through his whole career. He was awarded as Peoples Artist of the Moldovan Republic, Correspondent member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.

He was a master of the watercolour media, and in his art one will notice his great interest of the historical Russia, from the early legends of Rus', to Peter the Great, and the story of Great Russians like Rubenstein.

Also themes from the Civil War in Russia held a big interest for him.
