Landscape and genre painter

Vasily Ivanovich Navozov studied at the Stroganov art school, and afterwards at the Institute of Arts and Architecture - МУЖВЗ (1880-1882).

In 1882 he entered the Academy of Fine Arts, where he during the 1880s received the silver medal, and was named artist of the 1st rank.

He was mainly known as a painter of landscapes and genre.

His granddaughter was famous Moscow book illustrator Marina Uspenskaya
