Soviet painter, graphic artist, cartoonist, illustrator; author of the popular satirical drawings for various newspapers and magazines. Member of the USSR Union of Artists.

From his childhood he lived in Manchuria, has expressed interest in drawing, his father tried to teach the boy art to paint in oils. In his youth, Igor Sychev was going to be an architect but dropped his classes. Then came the passion for sports, ballet, and professional acrobatics, performed in variety shows, was familiar with A. Vertinsky and emigre bohemia.Later Igor Sychev has chosen a different path, becoming an artist-satirist. In Shanghai, he has collaborated with magazines and newspapers, drew political cartoons under the pseudonym of IGOS. In 1947 he released his album of cartoons dedicated to the post-war world politics.

In 1947 he returned to Moscow. For many years he worked at TASS also regularly putting pictures in newspapers and magazines. Sychev cartoons were published in “Crocodile” “Fun”, “Health”, “Spark”, “Change”, “Physical culture and sport”, “Ecological Newspaper” and others. He collaborated with the publishing house “Poster”, creating agricultural and antireligious placards.
