Vladimir Vasilevich Kireev was educated as a graphics artist at the Polygraphic Institute in Moscow.

During the 1960s and 1970s he worked for several of the larger Soviet publishing houses, issuing several hundreds of posters and advertising pamphlets.

Since the 1980s he has concentrated on modern abstract art.
